At the Lotus Feet of the

Divine Mother Amma

This page is dedicated to the Lotus Feet of Amma Padmavati.

Amma's birthday is August 15.  In honour of Amma CLICK HERE for an article (pdf doc) written by Robert entitled The Re-emergence of the Divine Mother.

August 15 every year is a day of great significance to Indians all over. In the last few years, this day has acquired a much greater significance for devotees of Sri Amma Bhagavan the world over. It is the janmadina of Sri Amma celebrated as the "Day of Love.

"Transforming the world is not just the responsibility of a few sages and seers. To create a better world is the responsibility of every one of you. In this struggle for survival; innocence, love and values are being lost. It is you who has to uphold these values. Do not consider yourself to be ordinary beings. Each one of you has the infinite powers of the divine within you. You have the powers to see god in the heart of every human being and once you begin to see the divine in every man, you will able to love every living being, every individual. Through you gods power would flow into the world. Do not get habituated to lovelessness. Through your words, through your loving actions and through your service, you could awaken every human being from his stooper of sufferings, self created misery, and ignorance. It is because of you the whole world could be awakened, your taking up this responsibility is the beginning of the Golden Age... this is my message to you today" ... Sri Amma

With prayers for a Grace filled celebration of Sri Amma's Janmadina for each of you.

Oneness Guides. Aug 15, 2007

------------------------

From the Rev Dr Michael Milner.  For this meditation, it is ideal to first apply Shreshta's Amma Oil:

Parvathi is the wife of Shiva, a benevolent form of the Supreme Goddess, the Divine Feminine. Padma is Sanskrit for Lotus. Dhyana is Sanskrit for Meditation. Hence we could call this the "Divine Feminine Lotus Meditation". Just as Parvati is the feminine counterpart to Shiva, Parvathi Padma Dhyana completes and provides the Divine Feminine balance to Chakra Dhyana.

This important complement to Chakra Dhyana can be found in the book "Sri Amma Bhagavan Varadeeksha Mala". It grounds the Kundalini energy down through the body, healing, energizing and transforming the body. In addition to laying in Shavasan (that is on our backs with our eyes closed, arms at our sides, palms facing upward) regular practice of Parvathi Padma Dhyana can help us keep the Kundalini and Oneness Blessing energies grounded, balanced and integrated with the physical, emotional and psychological levels of our being.

If people encounter difficulties after receiving Kundalini & Oneness Blessing (Deeksha) energies in the upper chakras it may be because they have not grounded and integrated those energies with their bodies, emotions and deeper psychological levels of their being. In this case, Parvathi Padma Dhyana would be very beneficial!

Parvathi Padma Dhyana

1. After finishing Chakra Dhyana sit with your eyes
closed, spine erect but not rigid, in any position that is
comfortable for you. (If it feels right, you could touch
the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth).

2. Visualize a golden lotus at the Sahasrara (crown
of your head), with a stem going down to the Mooladhara
Chakra at the perineum (base of your body).

3. As you inhale, visualize a golden liquid flowing up
the stem from the Mooladhara towards the lotus in your
crown.

4. Hold your breath and visualize the golden energy filling
every petal of the lotus.

5. As you exhale feel the energy coursing down through
every cell in your body (Feel it flood your Heart Chakra,
your lower belly, your hands & your feet).

6. Repeat the cycle at least 7 times.

Although they appear in two forms Amma Bhagavan are one.

In the September 2004 21-day group where we acted as assistants Shreshta Carol and I felt an immediate bond with a woman named Clementine.

She had a wonderful experience which if my memory serves me well, came after her first deeksha (oneness blessing).

She had a vision of Amma Bhagavan standing side by side.  And then she saw Amma come out of her own body and enter Bhagavan and Bhagavan come out of his own body and enter Amma.  This showed her that Amma Bhagavan are one.

This experience was similar to one I had after my diksha experience in January of 2004 where I experienced Amma Bhagavan as one great being in two beautiful forms.

Here is a photo of some of the September 21-day group at Amma's Ashram in Neman.  An ashram is a hermitage or place of retreat where Amma lives along with some of her dasas (guides or monks).  Amma gives her darshan (blessing) to large crowds of people there from Monday to Thursday.  Neman is close to Chennai:
