Sound Healing through Gong Healings

and Gong Yoga

Gong Healings

The gong is a sacred instrument for healing, balancing and expanding consciousness.

In your session Ahilya will focus on using the sound of the gong to create deep relaxation and meditative expansion of consciousness. The sound of the gong helps you to go beyond the mind, regenerate the nervous system, and create profound healing at the cellular and whole body levels. The gong does the work; you just relax and ride the waves of the sound.

Individual sessions are available in my home studio in Crafers SA (Adelaide Hills, 20 minutes from the CBD).

   *   1½ hour - $80

*   1 hour - $70

I also offer a mobile service to your home (additional fee of $15).

Group sessions for a minimum of 5 people are available at a rate of $35/person. Gather your friends and experience the added power of the gong in a group setting.

For corporate, school, or events rates, please contact me directly.

Gong Yoga

"Gong Yoga uses the sound of the gong in association with yoga practices to create a state of spontaneous meditation and deep therapeutic relaxation. Gong yoga facilitates the movement of prana (vital life force) through the body for healing and to awaken the consciousness for transformation.

The use of the gong in yoga and meditation can be linked back in time to Northern India where it was played by Yoga masters to awaken the intuitive faculties and create a transcendent state of being. While the gong is still intimately associated with Yoga in the west, it is essentially the instrument of Nada Yoga, the yoga of sound that underlies all yoga practices and traditions. The Gong is truly the instrument of the Yogini.

The practice of Gong Yoga begins with sequences of asanas, mudras, bandhas, pranayamas, and mantras (known as “kriyas”) to open the flow of energy and to create a receptive body-mind state for guided deep relaxation and meditation. While in the relaxed and meditative state, the gong is played to cleanse the subconscious and awaken the practitioner to a transcendent state of awareness. Gong Yoga is a perfect union of intentional consciousness and applied sound."
